School supervisor is accused of defiling a 2 year old girl, but he says he has never been in contact with the child

A school supervisor at Chrisland International School in Victoria Garden City (VGC) Lagos,  Adegboyega Adenekan, 46, was arrested by the police for allegedly defiling a 2 year old toddler under the guise of teaching her sex education. Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni, who paraded Adenekan at the command’s Ikeja headquarters, Wednesday, said Adenekan was arrested following a complaint made at the Ikeja Police Division by the toddler’s mother who accused him of defiling her daughter . However, Adenekan has denied the accusation. He said: “I am a teacher from that school; what happened was that on Friday,  November 11, I got a call around 8am from one woman and she identified herself as the mother of pupil. She alleged on the phone that I sexually abused her daughter. Pres Buhari to present 2017 budget to National Assembly members next week

President Buhari will sometime next week present the 2017 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly. Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, disclosed this yesterday after the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja yesterday November 30th. "The budget has been approved by the Federal Executive Council and the details of course will be revealed when the President presents the budget to the National Assembly. The President will be communicating to the National Assembly and of course it will be at the National Assembly's discretion ultimately. The President will write to them. A final year female student of the Delta State Polytechnic, department of Mathematics and Statistics was allegedly murdered by her cultist lover inside her room in a private hostel off Polytechnic Road in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta state last Tuesday November 22nd. According to Sahara Reporters, the deceased who is simply identified as Julia had spent the night with her yet to be identified lover at her room in the Hostel when she was killed. Other students residing in the hostel said the unidentified lover during a previous stay, had stolen the deceased lady's ATM card. "After her cultist lover had left the following day she received an alert of a N100,000 deduction from her bank account where she discovered her ATM card was missing. Not comfortable with the development, she went straight to her bathroom to take her bath. APC suspends Senator Shehu Sani indefinitely

Leaders of Ward 6 in Kaduna state have indefinitely suspended Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central in the senate. Sani has been at loggerheads with Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai and leaders of the party in the state. The party in 2015 suspended Sani for 11 months for committing offences which includes uttering statements that allegedly “violate the rules of engagement of the party, factionalizing the party, and engaging in anti-party activities by criticizing the policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.” The party advised him to appear before its disciplinary committee but he reportedly failed to do so. A letter signed by the secretary of the APC in ward 6, Tudun Wada and addressed to him yesterday November 29th, stated that the 11 months initial suspension had elapsed and that he will now proceed on indefinite suspension. 500 Nigerians receive financial empowerment from Africa's young entrepreneurs

The Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs Empowerment Nigeria (AYEEN) empowered 500 beneficiaries. These beneficiaries were pulled from thousands of participants who were screened pan Nigeria. They pitched their ideas before the international and local business experts that served as judges at the audition phase of the program earlier this year. The business ideas pitched cut across all the major sectors of the economy giving the judges a multifarious view of the Nigerian entrepreneurship ecosystem.
